I have a quick question. My baby is 3 months old and I rarely pump and use a bottle, but have on occasion. My parents are babysitting this weekend, so I wanted to have a bottle of breastmilk on hand for them to use. I had pumped 2 ounces and put it in the fridge. 48 hours later I pumped 4 more ounces into that same bottle and stuck it in the freezer. Later I read not to add after 24 hours to already expressed milk. Does anyone know why this would pose a problem??? Don't want to waste what I worked so hard to get, but don't want to make my baby sick either.

Had you cooled the milk from the second pumping? It's OK to combine two pumpings but all the milk must be cooled to the same temp.
