So it's either feast or famine in my household. My 5 week old daughter has slept ALL DAY today, all night last night. (With the exception of waking every 2 hours to eat.) This after days of screaming all day--- (apparently it was gas, I started her on Mylecon drops and she has calmed a bit) Now, of course, at 8:00. she has woken up screaming, and I type this as I bounce her in my lap and shh-shh-shh in her ear (to no avail.)
Question is: when your babies were around this age, how much did they sleep? And if they slept all day as mine has, did you try to wake them so they'd sleep at night? (I have tried that, by the way... I just get an angry baby...)

I voted wrong.... :(

My little one sleeps practrically all day. He's 2 months. Somertimes I think that he sleeps too much but that is impossible...lol   I'm afraid too that he sleeps too long without eating but my mother assures me that he will wake up if he's hungry. There's not really a sense in waking him up cause I've tried to do that but he'll just fall asleep while he's eating and it would take like an hour for him to finish the bottle. He sometimes will be wide awake "after" he finishes it.

When my son was that age he slept AAALLLLLLL Day and Night same as your DD. They are growing so they need their sleep. I didn't wake him up to eat cause he didn't stay up to eat he just went back to sleep. Then I just fed him on demand and he woke up every 3 hours to eat like clockwork. On demand feeding is just soooo much better. Now at night my son will sleep really good at night, I get up once mabe twice in the middle onf the night now.

My son went through a stage where he would nurse for a whole day, leaving me engorged the next, while he slept. He was about that age. Now he sleeps form 9pm to 9am no fail.

Nine hours a day was being generous in our case! He never slept in the daytime, and didn't sleep much at night.
