I was wondering if anyone has breastfed with implants, or known anyone who has. I am still currently breastfeeding my first son, he's getting close to weaning and I am mourning my lost boobies. I want to get implants, but am wondering what would happen if I decide to have another baby in a year or two. And if anyone knows of any websites with info on this, I would greatly appreciate it!!

As long as the ducts are not cut, you're fine.
But I'd put off that kind of surgery till you're done having babies...things will change again, y'know. ::grin::

Quoting CatieGreen:WITH IMPLANTS IF YOU WANT TO BREAST FEED YOU WOULD HAVE TO GO TO A MILK BANK WHERE PEOPLE DONATE THEIR BREAST MILK AND PUT IT IN A BOTTLE OR THIS DEVICE THAT TAPES TO YOUR NIPPLE SO IT'S LIKE YOUR BREAST FEEDING, BUT REALLY YOUR NOT AND ITS NOT YOUR MILK.
Not true. Moms with implants can breastfeed and do not have to visit a milk bank, unless the ducts were cut during surgery. Generally surgeons are careful not to do that any more.

I have a friend who breastfed with implants with no problem. My only question is do they lose their shape afterwards? I was considering getting a lift after my daughter weans herself, but if they end up in this condition again after forking out that kind of money I might just have to wait till I'm done having kids.

I was wondering about them losing their shape too. I'm pretty sure they could avoid cutting the ducts, I just don't wanna fork out the dough and then have to have a lift later on or something, ya know?? It's just depressing, my boobs look horrible!! My hubby teases me and says they're "pancake titties"!!!

How rude of your hubby!! If it were my man I'd smack him upside the head!! lol!! Guys will never get it- they ought to have some physically altering thing happen to them as well....just imagine... all the dads out there sprouting horns, or having their balls hang to their knees, or god knows what. I don't even know what I'm talking about, but maybe more guys would be more sensitive to it all if they had to go through a physical change as well. At any rate, I love, love, LOVE! my postpartum body, sags and stretch marks and all, and will extend that feeling to my wonderfully useful and loving, albeit saggy and flat breasts once my baby has decided he is finished with them. They have done too much good work for my baby to get upset about how they look, and if the man has a word to say about them later, he's got another thing coming. Hear me roar!!! LOL!!

Hehehe! If he was being serious, I would whack him pretty good! My hubby is awesome, and he knows how self concious I am about my boobs, and he tries to raise my spirits about them. He thinks I look better now than before I was preggo!! I did come out of it pretty good, it's just that I didn't have breasts before (small a cup) then to go to a d cup during the early stages of breastfeeding, just to go down to a floppy small a cup kinda sucks! But it was well worth it!!!
