When my son spits up its usually white. Just now he spit up and some of it looks like a mustard yellow. He hasnt eaten any solids since yesterday (pears). Does this sound weird?

When their stomachs are empty, and the spitup is yellow, it is typically the stomach byle (stomach acid). My daughter was throwing up the other night, first it was all of her dinner, then gradually, as she continued to throw up every 15 minutes or so, it changed to the yellow stuff. Be careful of dehydration at this point. Keep nursing. My daughter is older, so I always try to get pedialyte in her system. I give it to her in a syringe, b/c she hates it, and it helps by giving her just a small dose every 10 minutes or so- with an upset stomach, it's easier for her to keep it down. Breastmilk will also keep him from dehydration- as long as he can keep it down!
