I always knew I wanted to breastfeed, but unfortunately I have flat nipples and when I was at the hospital, the lactation specialists said I had to use nipple shields. I guess I should be happy that I'm able to breastfeed using the shield, but it gets so frustrating. The shield constantly gets kicked off by my 2 month old, and when I have my let down, the shield gets filled up and then starts to overflow. I constantly have to reattach the shield, clean up the mess and somehow soothe my crying baby. I almost think it would be easier to pump and feed him.
