I need some help! My son is almost 19 months and I want and need to stop breastfeeding, I just don't know how, I tried a bottle, and he don't want it. I tried a sippy cup and he don't want that either. He always wants me, I really hope some one has some advice for me! Please help!

There is lots of info of weening on the net and also lots and lots of books that you can get. If you have a Barns and Knobles near you, I know that they have ton of books about it. Also talk to your doctor, together ya'll can decide what the best rought is for weaning your baby. The most important thing I can tell you is to NOT cut him off cold turkey. That will cause you both alot of stress. Try several different sippy cups until you find one he likes. (You might pick ones with different sippy tops or one with different cartoons such as Bob the Builder or Dora.) Also you might try letting him pick out one so that he'll be more excited to use them. At this age you really want to avoid the bottle if at all possible because of teeth develpoment. Try to nurse less and less each day but definatley talk to you pediatrician FIRST! GOOD LUCK!

my son wouldn't take anything except the breast.  i tried several different sippy cups and he just didn't like them.  a couple weeks ago i got him a sippy cup with a straw and he's doing really well with it.  you might try it.  my son is younger than yours but if he hasnt done well with any of the other ones, try the straw one.  good luck!
