School year is about to begin for some of us... my 2yo DD is starting toddler Montessori in September which is great, the downside is that I have to pack her lunch... they suggest things  they can feed themselves... the problem is that a lot of the things I give her at home are not self feeding friendly and I do not know what to make for her.

I would appreciate recipes, ideas or books suggestions.

Thank you all for your help;)

My son is in the toddler class at Montessori. He's a great eater so I'll tell you what he likes (they heat up foods that should be): fresh fruit cut up (grapes cut in half), dried fruit and craisins and raisins, fruit snacks, crackers, cookies, cut up or sliced cucumbers, pickles, sliced cheese or cubes, granola bars, yogurt, pudding, cheese sandwich, pizza, mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, rolled up lunch meat, bread with butter, pasta with sauce or butter, meatballs, cherry tomatoes (cut in half), appleaauce. He often times takes in for lunch what we had for dinner the night before and then I pack snacks. If I don't have anything from the night before, I'll make one of the lunches in the list. I can't think of anything else at the moment.

i would do things like carrot sticks. Maybe a sandwhich cut into 4ths? that way the squares are little enough for them to hold and eat. fig newtons. raisins, cheese cubes, crackers, nutra grain bars, fruit snacks, cereal like chex?

i am a proud mommy of one very ornery 2 year old little boy and one very goofy 5 year old little girl, ive been married for 3 years, together for 5 1/2. fun loving, eco-friendly, creative, different strokes work for different folks, stay at home and work at home mommy!

Hi, I give my little one a sandwich cut up, or also the pasta ravolis in the baby isle.  I cook them ahead of time and put them in a container, so she can pick them up with her fingers.  My daughter is pretty good with a spoon, and a fork so sometimes I send yogurt or macarroni and cheese. good luck

For my DS(3) (and what I will do for DD2 when she starts), I alternate sandwhiches (PB&J, Ham and Cheese, Turkey and Cheese), and let him pick his "sides" from raisins, granola bar, nutrigrain bar, grapes, apple, broccolli, carrots, string cheese, apple sauce, and crackers. For drinks, I put in juice boxes in his favorite flavor.
