my first ultrasound

i have my ultrasound today and i'm so nervous. with my last pregnancy i was almost at the end of my third month when i found out i was pregnant.i have never gotten an ultrasound this early.i'm freaking out a little bit.i keep having this fear that we are going to get there and something will be wrong.i have suffered previous miscarriages and even though my last pregnancy was healthy i still worried the whole time.i'm a day shy of 8 weeks and i don't really feel pregnant.i never got sick in my last pregnancy but i think i'm worrying morebecause i don't get morning sickness if that makes sense ...i'm sorry for rambling on i'mjust really nervous.i have to drnk all that water too and thats no fun....am i crazy for worrying???

I'm thinking he will send me for US too ;)

how did you not know you were pregnant till the 3rd month the 1st time

I dont want to sound nosey but I am LOL

Also i have no Morning sickness either just tender boobies LOL and feel bloated but other than that 100% ok
So this appt and US will make it all real

well at least someone else out there is in the same boat lol.my period wouldnt come for 3 or four months at a time.we had tried for 4 yeas to get pregnant.so when my period was late i did't think anything of it.some time went by and i was very tired and crampy but my period just was not showing up so  i took a test and got an instant posititve.it was ok though because i don't drink or smoke and i was already on prenatal vitamins because i'm slightly anemic.it was such a disappointment every month to take a test and not be pregnant so i kinda gave up hope and then i was blessed with  my lil man.this time around was much much easier.we were trying because we were afraid it would take a long time to get pregnant but it only took a few months and we got a positive.this time my period was coming on time every month and i was tracking ovulation so it was easier fr me to know i was late and when i conceived :)

I had my 8 week ultrasound yesterday and you can definately see the little bean. I had one at six weeks and it just looked like a little oval but you can see the heartbeat very clearly! Let us know how it goes!!

I'm the world's worst worry wart!! lol  You are totally nml for being nervous etc.  I have really bad nausea all of a sudden since 8 wks, and I thought I wouldn't. I have an ultrasound in 3 weeks (12 wk one) and I'm so scared, bc I planned this pg and it's our last one. This will be my 6th pg. I have been scared every single time... Then after pg, I worry @ the newborn stage... Is he breathing, eating enough, etc!! LOL
I ordered a fetal heart doppler, like they use to hear the heart at OB office. It really helped my last pg to rent it, since b4 the BB starts kicking, I could listen to his heartbeat. I used it all the way til delivery day. They are pretty cheap to rent, and then send back. If you plan on more pg, buy one on Ebay. It's awesome!! GL w/ your ultrasound, wish I was going to see my BB sooner!! :)

well i had my u/s yesterday god what a nightmare.they told me to drink 32 oz of water an hour before the appointment.so i'm sitting in the waiting room about to pee my pants . we get in and she couldn't get a good pic and said she had to do a vaginal u/s so i had to empty my bladder and get undressed.i sat for about 10 minutes waiting for the tech to come back in.by the time she got there my bladder filled up again.so yeah i had to get dressed go back to the bathroom come back get undressed and try again.well this time we finally made progress but she said my uterus was very long because i only had my son 11 months ago.we did finally get a pic of the baby and we got to see the tiny heartbeat.she said going by my measurement im 6 weeks prgnant not 8.my last menstral period was dec 5th and my ovulation was around the 21st of dec.she said i could be further and maybe we just got bad pics.so i go back in 2 weeks for another u/s.i was so scared though because we kept seeing the sac but couldn't see the baby inside.when i finally saw the little heartbeat i could finally breathe.has this happened to anyone else??

has what happened? measuring earlier? I am measuring about five days less then what my online calculation is. Dr. says its normal and due dates fluctuate all the time!

Yes, I had that same problem with my u/s with my first baby.  It took a while before they found the heartbeat and I was very anxious because I had a miscarriage with my very first pregnancy.     I was sooo relieved when the u/s tech finally found it.   I haven't had an u/s with this pregnancy yet and I'm really disappointed about it but I'm getting a level 2 ultrasound in 2 weeks and really looking forward to that.  I'll be 12 weeks by then.
