How do i go about getting a divorce?My husband is deployed and we have both agreed to just end things. We dont want ugly just a divorce..no battle..Whats the 1st step :/

I don't know anything about getting a divorce so here is a BUMP. Btw, I think its very commendable that you guys agree to part amicably, I know it's hard but at least it doesn't have to be harder than it already is..

You can go see a lawyer and get a divorce outside of court. I forget what its called but ex and I did it. It was like 300 bucks and we both had to sign papers stating we have been seperate for a year ( kinda fibbed on ours.) Also have to agree before hand who gets what and if theres kids the arngement between you guys. The lawyer went to court for us and sent us the divorce decree.
