Thank you for this info. I went to the hairdresser today and she asked why I have a bald spot on the side of my head. I wanted to explain it but there were several women sitting right near by and no one else was talking. I gave a simple answer about I play with my hair etc. But I was so embarassed!
I know exactly how you feel! The few times I go to the hair salon, I usually tell them that I twist my hair alot and that's just the results that I get from a bad habit I've always had! Sometimes though, I'll make it a little more interesting and tell 'em something like I got bored and decided to cut all that hair b/c it was in my way! lol They usually just laugh it off.
