This board is for getting real advice on dealing with difficult people and/or situations. In-laws are the most common offenders, but you are welcome to post about ANY relationship problem or crapburger in your life. Keep in mind that this is an advice board, we are not a substitute for your own boring-ass blog.

We do not coddle our members and blow sunshine up their asses like unicorns. Unicorns are people who are content to remain in the abject reality they have built for themselves. They offer up 'wisdom' such as "be the bigger person," "but they're your faaaaaamily!" or "it can't be that bad!" Unicorns fly into situations, wielding their ignorance like a weapon, and vomit rainbows all over it so that they can pretend that everything is a-ok. The unicorns do not seek truth or knowledge. They seek to placate themselves with all of the complicated excuses that cloud their judgment, so they don't have to see the ugly realities behind their actions and the actions of those around them. We are not unicorns.

We regularly engage in debate here. We do this to combat the mothers-in-law that try to control their adult offspring. We also do this to combat the women that lie to themselves, perpetuating the situation by not enforcing their own boundaries. This allows us to take a situation to its lowest common denominator, so we can clearly see the real issues between the people involved in the toxic relationship. We take the time we spend here, and use it to search for the truth.

Be forewarned: if you make a post, and people think YOU are the one acting like a crapburger, they will tell you. Don't go crying to the admins, b/c we probably think you are being crapburgerish too. If you are not prepared to question yourself, then this group is probably not for you.
