I canned some cherries last weekend. The green beans should be ready to can by next week.
I'll be doing pickles this weekend. It got too hot for the green beans, so I'll try again with those in the fall.
So far I have only blanched and frozen corn and put some in the freezer cut off the cob. I would love to have the garden space to have a big garden! Im pretty urban so I get stuff from the farmers market when I can. We are completely remodeling our house so there wasn't the time or space to do what I would like to do. I had planned on canning salsa bu that went out the window when my husband broke his shoulder checking to see what the workers had done during the day. He was in terrible shape and was in and out of the hospital all summer! I wasn't getting sleep because I was having to hang IV antibiotics round the clock. Canning was put on the back burner this summer!
