I was just wondering what is a good size for a preassure cooker. DH & I plan on using quarts (for spagettie sauce, other big things like that) & pints.

Thanks  :)

I use a 23 quart pressure canner.

I have an 18 qt. pressure canner.  I have an over the range microwave/ vent hood that sits low and the canner fits just nicely under it.  If I'd had a 23 qt canner I couldn't have fit it under the microwave.

The only difference is between pressure canners (18 qt., 23 qt.) is how much liquid or volume they can hold.  Each will still hold 7 quarts or 10 pints per canner load.  I use my pressure canner to make huge pots of veggie soup in, or to boil 3 chickens at a time, etc. along with canning.
