Should they count the goals at soccer/football/baseball/... games? Whats your opinion?

DD plays hockey. At this point, they don't have goalies, they can't keep their positions, they can't keep track of which goal they are supposed to be going for, and they rotate in and out so much that they often mix up players from different teams. So no...it doesn't make sense to try to count goals in that chaos!  But when they get a little better and can play a proper game with two sides, then sure.  It's OK with me to have winners and losers, IF, and this important, if the coaches handle it well and teach the kids the important things like working hard, teamwork, being good winners and losers, etc.  Not just that winning is everything.

Should, it is a good lesson on how to have good sportsmanship. Being able to win and loose with grace is a hard but important lesson that should start the same time sports start.
