Some pictures of Rupert (can't wait until he joins our family!)

As some of you know - my partner and our daughter (almost 2) are waiting to take home our St.Bernard puppy, and we have met him only once, and that was when he was a week old.

Well the breeder who we are buying him from is a lovely lovely man - he is a St.Bernard lover and he is so kind. It's another 3 weeks until Rupert will be old enough to leave his mommy, and to help us pass the time the breeder has sent us an email with an update about him and some pictures -

this is what he sent -

"just a quick update on your puppy, first he is biggest male of litter, has been eating on his own for nearly 2.5 weeks and is an absolute handful. He is a great climber which from our prospective is a bad thing as we cannot keep him in his pen he keeps wandering around house which is funny cause he just keeps appearing out of nowhere. Otherwise all is well and the date we are letting them go to homes is between 15th to 19 th of september as the are weaning quicker than expected and gaining a good steady weight."

And these are a couple of the pictures he sent of Rupert (who's now about 6 weeks old) -

Isn't he a beauty? :)

Hes adorable!!   Hug him alot because before you know it he'll be huge.  Wally is 5 months old and weighs 65 pounds already.  I still hug and love on him--they're such babies!!

In the first picture he does look huge!  But the second picture looks normal and healthy. so glad the breeder is keeping you informed.

How big was the whole litter? How many pups is mom trying to feed?

She had 11 - only 8 survived the first night - and the 8 are all healthy and thriving.

What a cutie.  We are all excited for you to get him home too.  Sounds like he might be a handful.  Just remember  don't let him do anything at 8 weeks that you don't want him to do when he's 150+ pounds.  LOL.
