by joesgirl06 on Mar. 6, 2008 at 3:44 PMJoin Drew Barrymore in helping the World Food Program feed millions of people all over the globe every year. WFP has a dream: to feed 10 million more hungry school children in Africa by Thanksgiving Day. A gift $50 will help fill a child's cup for a year, and that dream can be realized. Even a small donation will go a long way. It takes just 25 cents to fill one of the Red Cups that WFP uses to give hungry kids a school meal. This food will not only feed bodies, but also minds, and will help transform lives. Help us Fill the Cup. through dh's job we do helping hands to hometown heros, you can make blankets etc, also any cans you save bring them in the $$ goes to the soldiers and their family towards any expenses they have, also the tabs to the cans we give them to a children's hospital or the ronald mcdonald house, 1lb of tabs go a long way. it can give a family with a child in the hosp a weeks stay @ the ronald mcdonald house with food and gas to travel, also it helps pay for chemo or any treatment needed, we have been doing this for a loong time , nothing extra is needed to pay just save your cans and have people help you , instead of throwing them away just save them, also animal shelters will pick them up from you to also use the $$ for the shelters, thanks,

The March of Dimes has changed the name of its biggest event to March for Babies. It's a great change because it makes it very clear exactly who I am walking for -- all babies. I am very excited to be a part of the “first” March for Babies; please support my participation. Although the name of this signature event changed, the mission did not. The March of Dimes champions the needs of moms and babies in our community and across the nation. The money we raise for March for Babies will support lifesaving research, services, education and advocacy that help babies get a healthy start. Please help by donating today! The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
