Ryan O'Neal on Oscar Snub -- 'Poor Farrah'

Ryan O'Neal is "confused as anyone" by Farrah Fawcett not making the In Memorium cut at The Oscars last night -- and he plans on writing a letter to the Academy protesting the snub.


Moments ago outside his Malibu home, Ryan told cameras he and Tatum were "shocked" by the Farrah omission -- saying maybe it happened because "she wasn't well known enough."

I guess that it could have been because she wasn't known well enough, although this comes as surprise to me. I thought she was widely known.

I think everyone knows who Farrah is, so it had to be another reason. I'd like to know what it was. 

 Ryan's a jerk though...wasn't he out trying to pick up his own daughter not long after Farrah died ? I remember reading something about it, but not sure if I'm exactly right...

How do they figure that Michael Jackson deserved acknowledgement but she did not? Wasn't he a pop star? It's incredibly shitty that he was acknowledged and she wasn't. There is no excuse for that. And not having enough space for everyone? A total crock. Unfortuantely, Ryan can make all the stink he wants, the moment has already passed and it can never come again. Other than a public apology, what can result? And I'm fairly certain that there will never be a public apology.
