‘Glee’ Tribute to Whitney Houston Is Cool But Creepy (LISTEN)

Ready to be a little spooked? On tomorrow night's episode of Glee, "Heart," Mercedes (Amber Riley) is singing Whitney Houston's iconic track from The Bodyguard, "I Will Always Love You." The eerie part? This was scripted prior to Houston's passing, as a total coincidence.

The producers of Glee decided to keep the song in the episode and, as a tribute Whitney, are dedicating the Valentine's Day episode to her with a card at the end of the credits.

Just wait, though, until you hear how amazing Amber Riley's voice sounds on the track. Trust me, if you didn't have goosebumps already -- you will in about 30 seconds.

I'm genuinely excited to see how the cast pulls this one off during the episode, and happy that the head honchos over at FOX decided to keep the track as is. Plus, Amber has an amazing voice, and in my mind -- there's no one at McKinley High that can do this classic number the way she can.

Whitney Houston will forever be a huge part of music and an inspiration to many. Just like Jennifer Hudson's tearjerking performance at last night's Grammy Awards, the Glee tribute will give credit where it's due: To one of the most fantastic voices of a generation.
