'Teen Mom 2' Finale Recap: Leah & Corey Break Our Hearts
Teen Mom 2 ended the season Tuesday night with the finale episode and with it, came many other endings. For Jenelle, it
was the end (let's hope) to her days of smoking weed just to deal with
her overweening anxiety. The time had long since come for that bird to
fly and I think this was the first episode in which it felt like there
really was hope for Jenelle. Maybe she really will be able to medicate her Bipolar Disorder with something other than marijuana she buys illegally.
For Kailyn, it was the end of hope that she and Jo (with whom she had sex in the shower last week) would make a go of it AND the end of her relationship with Jordan. Certainly she seemed more sad about the former and Jo's attitude was annoying. He almost seemed to enjoy telling her there was no chance in hell they were getting back together.
Meanwhile Chelsea moved in the right direction toward her GED and in the wrong direction back toward Adam. Really, Chelsea? Really? But the most gut wrenching part of the finale was Leah and Corey for whom the finale was really their end.
Watching them move out of their home was beyond depressing in every way. There is nothing amusing or lighthearted about watching two people divide their things (including their babies) and go their separate ways. And the worst part, perhaps, is that there is just no reason for it.
I am not saying Corey is a prize and neither is Leah with her cheating ways, but they did have some good stuff there. It could not have JUST been creative editing that made the two of them so sweetly supportive of one another at certain times.
No relationship is perfect, but six months is not even giving their marriage a go. They could have gone to counseling or worked harder to save what they had. To me, it is obvious they COULD have made it work. But they didn't even try.
Why didn't their parents give them better advice? Or even Dr. Drew? This is a show on TV, but we have to watch them go through this and it is maddening to know these are real people making the very real mistake to throw away their marriage the second they hit a bump.
Maybe it is better that it ends now. Marriage is full of bumps and neither one of these two seems well-equipped to handle them if they can't even deal with this one. But it was a really sad split and one that did not have to happen the way it did.
Watching Leah and Corey both cry in their empty house was too sad for words. And with that, the season ends.

I'm not sure that they could have made it work. I think Leah has some growing up to do before she'll be ready for marriage.
I read somewhere yesterday that Corey knew about the cheating months before this was filmed. He forgave Leah, and then for some reason he started treating her bad, and didn't want to be married anymore so he let MTV in on their little secret about the cheating and of course they wanted to film it. The whole thing we seen was a set up, so it makes it kinda hard to really know what went wrong in their marriage. I didn't have any kinda sympathy for Leah at first, but after reading that yesterday I do feel bad for her now. He left her, over other things, not the cheating.
Corey left her for cheating 2 times and I don't feel bad for Leah...she brought that on herself....all I see in tabloids is trying to make her look like the victim and Corey the bad guy like they did all summer until the mtv footage showed it was her
I record it ( DVR) because it comes on at 11pm in my town... So I watch it the next day... I ALWAYS fast forward past Jennelle, because I can't stand her and I don't want to hear the clucking sound of her or her mothers annoying voices and all their drama..... So no comment on what she is or isn't doing.
I also fast forward thru Leah, because she makes me wanna punch her in the throat! In the last episode when she admitted to cheating, her reason was because he wasn't spending time with her and she felt he didn't love her, yet she married him a week after cheating and having those feelings...
Then in last nights episode, ( when I was fast forwarding) I caught a small part where she was talking to her friend, and heard her say that she thought when they got married that it was gonna be all good from there and the past would be behind them WTF?! she has clearly got some issues. She is simply a HOOKER!
Now I do respect Kailyn and Chelsea... I feel horrible for Kail, I can't believe Jo did that! That was low! I agree that she was kinda wrong for going to Jordan in the first place, however Jo shouldn't have done ANYTING with her if he knew he had no intentions of being with her. It's like he just wanted to cause some issue in her life intentionally... I used to have respect for Jo, because he did seem to be mature and responsible, but after last nights episode I think he is an inamture hood rat!
I get that he doesn't want to be with Kailyn, and that's fine, I get that he doesn't have "those" feelings for her, but in the end she is still the mother of his child, and he's causing problems for not Kail but his son as well. because a stressed , depressed mother isn't good for ANY child.
Chelsea, what can i say? i LOVE her! Beautiful, funny, sweet, kind, hard working and motivated! I'am PROUD of her... I just wish she would leave adam alone... Or that Adam would stop being a dooche to her and treat her and their daughter right.
Me too. I was in the middle of it, but got busy. I'll finish it sometime tonight, probably.
