A former "Teen Mom" personality was reportedly evicted from her Anderson, Ind. home last month for allegedly scamming the government.

According to celebrity news site TMZ, who cited law enforcement sources, Amber Portwood was renting a home that was subsidized by Indiana's Low Income Rental Housing Tax Credit program.

  • However, Portwood was not qualified to live in subsidized housing, government supported accommodations for people with low incomes, because of her income.
    
    TMZ reported the reality TV star claimed she made approximately $10,000, but she actually earned $280,000 in 2010.
    
    

Portwood is currently booked in the Madison County jail. She was arrested in December for felony possession of a controlled substance and violating her probation.

Portwood will remain in custody until she finds out if a judge will allow her into a drug court program. If she completes that program, the drug charges will be dropped. If she fails, Portwood will spend five years behind bars.

 

From me:  If you made 280,000 why in the hell wouldn't you BUY a house.  You can buy 4 houses in Anderson with that amount of money.

She has some serious issues, and I don't things will ever improve in her life until she has those issues addressed. She needs to get out of the pubic eye and get into some kind of long term in-patient rehab.

 Yeah I don't get it.  Amber is conning the government out of money.  Leah has to borrow money from her parents for a 3000 trailor.  Chelsea's dad pays all of her bills.  Kailyn constantly talks about how broke she is.  I guess Maci and Farrah don't complain though.  I have to wonder where all this money goes.  I didn't think they made anywhere near 280k...that is insane!!

I'm not surprised they make that much. I don't think they ALL do though, I think Amber makes that much because she brings in more ratings with her antics and THAT is why I think she's being portrayed the way she is. I bet Leah and Corey get paid a lot more than like, say, Jenelle or Catelynn and Tyler.
