5 of Whitney Houston's Most Memorable Looks (PHOTOS)
When I heard about the death of Whitney Houston over the weekend, I was so far beyond shocked. After reading on and off about Whitney's dangerous drug addiction
throughout the years, I guess part of me sorta assumed that she was
kinda, well, invincible. I know, unrealistic. But heck, it feels like
just yesterday she released her comeback album, I Look to You, and
was back making the rounds in the media circuit again, telling everyone
she was gonna beat this thing. Now, the 48-year-old's funeral arrangements are underway and reality has hit both her friends and family.
Throughout Whitney's life, she was hands down a pop culture icon. However, she was also a style icon. From her midriff-baring crop tops and big hair to the countless sparkly awards show frocks -- one thing the "How Will I Know" singer never did was disappoint on the wardrobe front.
Let's take a look a 5 of Whitney's best looks from over the years:

Classic. Whitney. She looks so happy and carefree on the cover of her 1987 CD. How could she not be? On it are some of her best songs, including "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" and "Didn't We Almost Have It All."

Wowza. Talk about some serious sparkle! Whitney is shining here at the 1986 American Music Awards. That hair is somethin' else, but the dress (shoulder pads included) is to die for.

Whitney looks fabulous here at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles in February 2009. The dress is elegant, fits her well, and the blue color looks great on her skin tone.

Ahhhh, her last album. The songstress looks miles different here than she did when her career first launched in the '80s. So sophisticated. So beyond her years. White always looked stunning on Whitney, and this one-shoulder dress is no exception.

If you ask me, this is Whitney's best look -- as a mom. Seen her performing here with her daughter Bobbi Kristina on Good Morning America in 2009, Whitney is radiant looking healthier and happier than ever.

Do you have a favorite look? What are some of your best memories involving Whitney's music?
I like the 3rd look the best. I didn't really follow her enough to have a favorite song of hers.
She was a very beautiful woman!
