Where were you when you heard the news about what had happened on 9/11/01? Are you doing anything today to remember it?
I was taking our cat to the vet for a checkup. I got in the car, turned on the engine, and the 1st plane had just hit. At that time, they still thought it was an accident. By the time I got to the vet's and came home, all the other planes had crashed, and we knew it was no accident. I turned on tv, and watched for the rest of the day.
Usually every morning I watch the news after my kids would go to school, but that day I didn't. I was heading to LA from MS when I heard it on the radio.
I was at home with a newborn. I was glued to the tv.
I was at home sleeping and my mom called and told me to turn on the TV right now.
I was at school.
I was in HS, just about to go to my American History class (Thank god!), we watched it all on tv, and then security was going around telling the teachers to turn off the tv's and my american history teacher Mr. E said flat out, No, that is American History, am not turning off the channel, (I loved that teacher even more that day) and he was such a precense that he wasn't questioned so we watched it. It was unreal, totally unreal, and as a teenager, you think "holy shit, shit can happen out of no where"!
i had just got back home from taking my son to school and turned on the tv. i was glued to the tv.
