How are you? A little about me, My name is Margie, single, divorced mom with two adult sons ages 26 and 29. My age is 53. My educational background is Computer Information Systems/Criminal Justice Administration.
My dads (biological and step) were engaged in farming and my mother supplemented their income with baking cakes for special occassions.
I am a licensed substitute teacher and reside in the state of Kansas.
My daily schedule is making a pot of coffee every morning and checking my messages especially on cafemom.
I have two sisters. My oldest is Corporal of the sheriff's department. My youngest is a Professional Massage Therapist, Dog Groomer and beautician.
I moved because my mom had a heart attack and stroke and is in the nursing home going on three years in July. She is in a wheelchair unable to stand or walk, but she is 76 years of age too.
My grandmother celebrated her 100th birthday on February 15, 2013. She is currently in the nursing home where my mom is located so they have their daily meals together.
My Uncle is the doctor in the nursing home where my mom and grandma are living.
I moved from a little town where I lived for six years and moved to an apartment because of my mom and grandmother. I have lived in this apartment since Deceber 25, 2012.
Currently I have no grandkids unless you call the grandchildren from my ex-husband or my three step children. My one step daughter which was a twin was killed in a tragic car accident so the two kids were raised by their grandmother.
I began this group on cafemom which is for women over 40 because of health issues and wanting to take care of myself. My parents were farmers with required education which means that my mom went to the ninth grade, my dad went to the 8th grade and my step dad went to the 10th grade.
