Christian Slater Is Engaged — to Woman He First Thought Was a Lesbian!

Here’s a unique “meet-cute” story for ya.

Christian Slater, 43, teen dream of the '80s and '90s, is engaged to girlfriend Brittany Lopez. The actor announced his big news last night onLate Night With Jimmy Fallon. He told Jimmy about how he and Brittany first met, when he was at a resort in Miami a couple of years ago. 

"This girl came walking along with another lady, a slightly older lady," Christian said (viaSFGate). "I was sitting in my usual spot, eating my oatmeal that morning … and this spot was famous for people proposing to each other… and next thing I know she gets down on one knee and proposes to this older lady… I thought I had just witnessed a nice lesbian engagement, so I was coming over to say congratulations, but it turns out it was her aunt and she was just trying to help her aunt capture the beauty and the romance of the moment. She was making a joke, and I witnessed it, and it intrigued me, and the next thing I know we were hanging out in the Everglades.”

And now we know — if we want to marry hot actors, we have to first pretend we’re recently engaged lesbians. Great tip, Christian! This will be his second marriage; he has two children with his first wife, Ryan Haddon. 

Congrats to the newly engaged duo!
