Stevie Wonder is hardly the first celebrity to share their disappointment over the outcome in the George Zimmerman trial, which found the accused not guilty of murdering Trayvon Martin. He is, however, taking his expression of said disappointment one step further -- vowing to no longer perform in the state of Florida.

"I decided today that until the Stand Your Ground law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again," Wonder announced during a performance in Quebec City on Sunday (July 14), referring to the state's highly controversial self-defense law.

And Wonder's show of support for Martin doesn't stop at just avoiding the Sunshine State. "As a matter of fact, wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in the part of the world," he said.

"The truth is that for those of you who've' lost in the battle for justice -- wherever that fits in any part of the world -- we can't bring them back," he added. "What we can do is we can let our voices be heard. And we can vote in our various countries throughout the world for change and equality for everybody. That's what I know we can do."

Be sure to watch the video of Wonder making the declaration himself below:

Just makes him look like a damn moron. Zimmerman DID NOT USE THE STAND YOUR GROUND DEFENSE!!!!! If you don't know that simple fact, you have no right to make any judgment because you don't know what the hell you're talking about. "Stand your ground" is not "self defense".

Just another grown up making himself look like a dumbass. These people making these threats don't realize they only look ignorant. Had Trayvon been white Stevie wonder wouldn't even know the case.

Okay then! I seriously doubt Florida is gonna miss him. It's not like the citizens of Florida are all sitting around, wringing their hands going "oh, why won't Stevie Wonder grow up, act like an adult and stop sounding stupid?" Nope, in fact, I seriously doubt if any of them are giving his little hissy fit a second thought.
