Tamera Mowry is keeping no secrets. She recently revealed that she was a virgin until age 29, and she just dished on the V-steam she and her sister got on a recent episode of Tia & Tamara. (Watch a clip from the Style network show here.)
According to an NBC News story on the "centuries-old Korean remedy," a vaginal steam treatment can cost from $20 to $75, depending on location, and essentially involves "perching naked on a bottomless stool over a boiling pot of water infused with mugwort, wormwood and a variety of other herbs."
TMZ caught up with Tamera to ask her about the V-steam experience. Why did she do it?
"Honestly," she answered, "after you have a baby, you want to make sure all the parts down there are good and that you're husband/spouse/whatever is taken care of. And that's the best way to do it." (Tamera and her husband, Adam Housley, welcomed their son Aden last November.)
Tamera told TMZ it's like a regular detox and the steam feels hot, like taking a shower. She doesn't seem to regret the treatment, but she's not exactly ready to go back for more. "Would I do it again? No. It was a very interesting experience."
Not everything is for everyone. Some women swear by V-steams, others think the idea is just weird.
