I got my son vaccinated and I will continue when he needs more, because it is recommended. I think that moms that don't vax are afraid of the side affects.. I am to.. but I'd rather my son have a fever for 24 hours, than polio, hep B ect.

i agree, why would someone not want to protect their child from something that could kill him in the long run if they didn't get these shots. i think of it as if there was a shot that would cure cancer or even protect us from it, wouldn't you get that shot to prolong your life. i know i would.

I think a lot of moms are paranoid about the "what ifs". IMO Im thinking about kids instead of being paranoid. If you're a military wife your kids have to have all their vaccines.

I vax my kids. I have educated myself to both sides...and this is what is best for my children.

I have 2 kids and both have had all shots and if i have any more children they will to. some people think the shots cause autism or other medical disorders. As a mother of a child who has high function autism i think the benefits out weigh the risk. I will love my children no matter what !!!!!! I believe in time we will start seeing some things like measles mumps and rubella come back in huge numbers because of people not vaxing children. this is just my thoughts on it i do not bash any one who does not vax there child.

we do selective and delayed vaxing. we do not vax any of the ones that close family members have shown adverse reaction to, the risk is not worth it to me on those, my son is severe asthmatic so an adverse reaction can easily mean death, especially to some of the measle/pox related vaccines, for some reason there is a link between being asthmatic and having more trouble with these diseases, maybe something to do with the skin effect, just like there's a link between asthma and excema or psoriasis.
we delay all the ones that have been shown to be just as effective if given later, i just see no reason to do so many at once and so young, especially if there's a chance it increases the risk of adverse reaction to them. I am educated on both sides, i vax at all because i feel it is worth it, but don't see a reason to push our luck on some of them with a family history and my son's pre-existing condition. this is just what's best for my family and my son. |

I did and I WILL NOT continue there are still mercury in the shots today. I will not subject my child to being poisoned. There is less of a risk for him to get a rare disease then getting mercury poisoning, autism, high fevers etc....

This is not true. My husband is a Marine and our daughter has never received ONE vaccine. Our daughter will never receive a vaccine. It is not required for her, or me

Well, it's a requirement everywhere or most places. It's something that will make their health so much better as well. I don't understand why some mom's dont get them done.....?

The diseases that the vaccines are supposed to protect against are ACUTE illnesses and are TREATABLE in individuals with healthy immune systems. I am not willing to inject my child with KNOWN toxins to "maybe" protect them against a disease that is treatable. Vaccines contain formaldehyde, aluminum, MSG, among other toxic ingredients. There have been outbreaks of these diseases among HIGHLY VACCINATED populations, so are they even effective anyway?
