Ladies who have nursed then had to stop, I have a question.
I've been bf'ing/pumping with my daughter for 3 months now. Due to a medical problem I have to stop, I'm literally pumping for the last time right now. Will my breast get as engorged as they would if I never breastfed?
Wah Wah Wah I'm not bf'ing anymore so Nazi's save it and suck it.
yes and it is PAINFUL! I know how you feel, i did the same only my Bfing only lasted amonth to 2 months. Whatever you do, dont pump, then they will keep producing milk longer.

Dang I was hoping it wouldn't hurt as bad. I hate when they get so big :(
So your breast kind of weened themselves?
Quoting JessecaLynn:
I didn't get engorged when I had to stop but my daughter had been feeding for a year and hadn't been feeding as much.
Yes they did get ingorged I don't remember it being painful (it's been 7 years) but i am sure it was not the most present thing. My biggist issue was that i continued to lactate 17 months after i stopped breastfeeding.

one yr olds dont drink as much breasmilk bc they eat solids, so the breast doesnt produce as much
Same here. Can you wait a couple days/week and wean yourself? It would be much easier. I obviously don't know the circumstances though.

Mine didn't hurt or get engorged but I had lost most of my supply by the time I quit.

When your breasts get engorged you can just pump out a very little bit and you can sort of "wean" yourself to relieve the pressure.
Ahh I wish I could but I already put it off for a week and I just can't do it anymore.
