My husband has been getting headaches all the time. he sometimes has them all day long and othing touches them. I was wondering if any mom on here has expereinced it or know someone how has.  My husband is not sick with the flu or any other illness. He does get enough sleep, actually he sleeps for more than 10 hours at a time.

I had daily migraines a few years back (thank you pregnancy for curing them) that never really went away, they just changed instensity. There are many things that can trigger headaches/migraines. For me, certain foods made them worse. Do a google and it will come up with a list of things that may trigger. Stres/weather changes/hormones (dont think thatll affect your hubby!)/certain chemical smells also played a role in my headaches. You might want to have him make an appt with his dr just to be safe though.

Migraines are often caused by foods. Common migraine triggers are (this is not a complete list): chocolate, tree nuts, vinegar, yeast, MSG, nitrates, artificial colors, artificial flavors.

They can also be caused by chemical cleaning products. This Is what  we use for most cleaning (initially used as part of my daughter's 6th grade science fair project). It is cheap (my favorite) and non-toxic.

1/4 cup white vinegar

3/4 cup warm tap water

1 tablespoon baking soda

10 drops of tea tree oil (antibacterial, antifungal, etc.)

2 drops oil of lavender essential oil (optional) (antiseptic and smells nice)

For extra scrubbing, I make a paste with salt, baking soda and vinegar.

You husband would likely benefit from an elimination diet, either on his own or with the help of a nutritionist or dietician.

It could be triggered by mold. Our previous house had mold ( of course we found out to late ) . I was the only one at first that was getting sick . It started with headaches , then went to me sleeping all the time . After a while the kids started getting sick and we found that there was mold in the walls . I hope he gets better and you figure out what it could be soon .Good Luck .

Has he had his vision checked?  Is he constantly straining to see right?  That could cause constant headaches.  Also, dental problems can cause them... impacted wisdom teeth, constant clenched jaw, etc.

He could have high blood pressure. A friend was having horrible headaches every day and when he went to the Dr. he found out it was due to high blood pressure. Also, if he's taking something for it each day (excedrin, tylenol, etc.) that could be causing rebound headaches and making it worse. Good luck.

Has he been to the doctors for the headaches?  Men are more apt to get what is called Cluster headaches which are alot like Migraines.

They  DOOOO  have certain medications for those.  I get them, also.

I'd go see the Doc.  If nothing in the meds area helps, about 20 yrs ago they found ice on your head helps alot.  ( It damnd near kills ya --- but the ice shrinks the blood vessels & FORCES   the muscles to relax ) !!   This little tip came   from the  surgeon for the Utah  Jazz !!
