Spending time with your family for the holidays, that is. Whether it be this week for thanksgiving or for whatever holiday you celebrate next month, this is a notorious FAMILY time. How are you feeling about that?

I enjoy spending time with our whole family. To an extent lol. I'm really not much of a people person and after three or hours my nerves get frazzled and I am ready to leave. Which isn't usually a problem for my family because our get togethers usually only last a few hours anyways. everyone gathers, eats, talks for awhile then leaves. Perfect :)  Dh's family is a different story lol. His family like three times the size of mine. And their family get togethers last ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL day. It really is overwhelming.

I am so exicted, and I wish that my husband's family could be here too.

I get so nervous and crazy about cleaning, that I usually end up with a tummy ache lasting from 2 hours before until an hour or so after they are here.

It will be our first time hosting a holiday in our new home, and I haven't seen most of my family in five months.

Our families live close by and we see each other often. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving has just turned into another meal with a large bird on the table. The come, eat and leave us to clean up. Seriously, you can time it. 10-15 minutes after we eat SIL says "oh, mom is getting tired." Uh, MIL has suffered from what is probably depression for close to 50 years. And SIL just goes between being nice, friendly, helpful to spiteful bitch.

My mom has tried to cook a couple of times which lead us to say "please just bring a jello mold." MIL's idea of cooking is opening a can of cranberry sauce without even trying to hide the can marks. And they wonder why we went out of town last year. Wish we could have this year. I really miss FIL!

I LOVE getting to see my parents, sister and grandma ( mom's mom) .

I HATE seeing my dad's side of the family .

Hubby doesn't have any family that we talk to .
