is this a real book?? HELP :)

Ok I am GOING insane. I swear this is a real book i read when I was a kid but i can't find it anywhere. i do NOT remember who wrote it.
It was a dr suess style book (but im pretty sure it was not him) it was a kids books. .dr suess age. . .it had a lot of colorful drawings. .agian dr suess style. it was about this boy walking through the woods at night. ..& he sees a pair of walking pants. .& he freaks out (who wouldn't) & tries to get away..& thats all i can remember. . .does it sound vaguely familar to anyone or am I just making things up??

Looking at all of those dr. seuss books reminds me how much I love the Lorax. lol I know random.
