The fascination with vampires

 Being that Twilight and New Moon are current topics, here's a question.... If you're into vamps, what's the biggest draw to them for you? The bad boy image? The living forever thing?  Sparkles? (lol)

Whose vamps do you like best? (i.e. Laurel K. Hamilton, Anne Rice, etc.)

One of my favorite movies is The Lost Boys. And the show i love to watch is True Blood. I think i like vampire movies because they live forever, my worst fear is death...

it turns me on too. Because Vampires are known as romatic creatures, yet powerful. They draw you in with charm but have that darkness. Its the being having someone that has unmeasurable power have control over you in an erotic way. I love true blood too! And vampire diaries. and twilight...

vampires don't really do it for me. I've always been into werewolves. Or in light of trueblood shifters...mmm sam. Anywho I'm gonna agree with the first poster though and say that Lost Boys was great, and kiefer Sutherland was one of my fav vampires.

for me it's not the vampires, it's just that the ones i've read have just been really good stories!  like for me, i see twilight as a romance, not as a vampire book (know what i mean?)

This and the bad boy image & forever. I am not into the sissy sparkles LOL ( i did enjoy the twilight books) But my favorite vampires were on Buffy the Vampire slayer (Spike was my favorite)

I've never seen trublood, only ads for it... I might need to watch it, now, lol.

I like Twilight books but i did niot liker the movie.  i do not go crazy for it.

For me it's the mystery behind vampires. I like the Twilight vamps, because they can come out during the day, but I love the Sookie Stackhouse vampires better. Of course I love Erick (true blood) more than Edward. I haven't read any books byLaurel K. Hamilton so I don't know about hers. I do know that vampires are a turn on for me and it would be really cool if they truely existed. Of course my hubby things I'm insane for thinking that, but it's true. All these book series aren't helping one bit! lol
