Normal is not used in the educational environment. The terms used are typical and atypical. Yes my son is dx on the autism spectrum as PDD-NOS, and when I hear the word normal I cringe. There is no normal in my world in reference to children.

See, I think I am backwards. I see everyone as normal, but everyone has "flaws". Does that make sense? Probably not, but that's how I feel. LOL.

I am a emergency c-section, extended formula feeding, cloth/disposable diapering, extended rear facing, sign language teaching, miscarriage survivor (x2), mama to a miracle baby girl who has 2 middle names! (11-19-07)

There is not such thing as normal  What is "normal" for one is not "normal for another.
