Freedom of Religion certainly being attacked here. So now in some areas of the US they are forbidding Bible Studies in the private home of a person. This is ridiculous!
Church Fights Back After Arizona Town Bans Home Bible Study

GILBERT, Ariz. —
The national Alliance Defense Fund says a town code that bars religious assemblies in private homes in the Arizona community of Gilbert is unconstitutional.
The Oasis of Truth church began meeting at Pastor Joe Sutherland's house in November and rotated homes several times a week for Bible study and fellowship.
A Gilbert code compliance officer hit the church with a violation notice after seeing a sign near a road advertising a Sunday service.
A zoning administrator told the church that Bible studies, church leadership meetings and fellowship activities are not permitted in private homes.
The Alliance Defense Fund's Doug Napier says no neighbors complained.
The Scottsdale-based group has filed an appeal with the town of Gilbert, contending its code violates the U.S. Constitution.

LOL nice slutty angel siggy!! There are laws like that for a reason. I am sure it keeps people from being victimized by cult leaders. It isn't religion under attack it is like anything there is either a time or a place, in this case it is the later.
Quoting Aldea:
I agree ! outrageous !
This is predicted in the Scriptures Aldea. And it will become worst. When you are forbidden to share God's love & his word amongst friends than we are treading down a very dangerous path. History will repeat herself if too many ppl. are complacent or silent> The Constitution is being chipped away here~

BK, I have to agree your angel is disturbing me.
Is this the weekly service that they are having in an individual home, or just something like a small group study? I can see where an actual church service in an individual home might violate zoning ordinances; I don't see why the routine Wednesday night Bible study, or whatever, would be a problem.
That is insane. People have bible study in their homes all the time.
As for people being protected from being victimized by cult leaders.. are you serious? You don't think these people can be victimized in a church or somewhere else?
What I do in my home is my business. If I choose to hold a bible study in my home I will. The government is getting into personal lives way too much. We don't live in China.. this is something they would do.
they were meeting for bible study, if kids were wanting to study together for an exam would they have to stop because it wasn't zoned for a school?
Quoting CoeyG:So his residential neighborhood wasn't zoned for a church where's the problem?

There are things called laws in every community, if the members of that community have a problem with the laws and ordinances then they need to take the proper channels rather than breaking the laws...

It sounds like a run-of-the-mill zoning violation. Does the church expect special treatment because it is a church?
