Besides kids and pets, and dh and yourself, if you could save 3 things out of your home if it was on fire, what would you save.

I would have to say my scrapbooks, as many as I could and my computer.

My great-grandparents wedding goblets. My Night-night Bear (I've had him since I was a baby and want to give him to my first girl). And.... The formula, cause that shit is EXPENSIVE! lol

I have a "fire/flood box."  It has all of our irreplaceable stuff in it.  The kids' first outfits, baby books, photo albums, flash drives with photos and movies on it, stuff like that.  Then I would also grab our file folder bin, it has all of our paper work in it.  Everything else can burn, it's replaceable.

Besides humans and pets...

I'd save my laptop with my current work and my first publications of prior work. That would likely fill my arms but, if I had any more room, probably my photo albums and scrapbooks.

Meanwhile I expect my husband would be salvaging his various collections - stamp, coins, trading cards, etc. - and maybe some of the family records (birth certificates, tax records, etc.).

My computer since it has all pictures and financial stuff, password book, and kids favorite blankets.  My son would go bonkers if he ever lost his blanket.   I would like to be able to get my kids memory boxes and the family bible also.

Don't have a husband or significant other so does that give me four things to save?   Of course first thing would be my laptop, then my daughter's laptop, then the processor from our desktop and the monitor as well.   We can run around naked with our computers LOL

My computer because it has all of our pictures on it, my picture albums and whatever clothes I could grab.
