Born Gay or Made Gay?

Liam, age 2.5 (33 months almost), is showing an interest that he wants to figure skate.... which isn't a long leap because I was a figure skater for 17 years and his "uncle" whom he adores is an Olympian in the sport (my dearest friend who found my tooth on the ice in 1983 and I was 6 and hysterical over it... he was 17 and cleared the rink to find that damned thing!!!) Anyways... I have been teaching him waltz jumps, spirals, shoot the ducks... and he loves to spin.... ALL IN THE KITCHEN, lol.... his skates are coming from the Easter Bunny... and my WHOLE family says I am "making him gay"... one if he is I don't care.... and two, can you really make someone gay with a sport?

No, I personally feel you are born that way.  Most kids say they have felt that way since they were very small.  I don't think a sport makes you gay.  Some skaters are NOT gay anyway.  Yes, many male skaters are but many are married to other skaters too.

I don't think you can make someone gay with helping them learn a sport they like. How stupid!

No, you aren't making him gay.  I think that is some ppl's way of tagging certain activities as less manly.  I totally disagree...talent is talent and when you are given a gift .... use it:)  You Rock Mom!
