In Canada and America today is the twinkling day because it is a first day of spring in Northern Hemisphere. As per the various reports released vernal equinox 2010 is expected to take place on Saturday on March 20, 2010 nearly at midnight (at 17:32).

On the occasion of vernal equinox the duration of day and night gets equal on earth. It happens Two times in one year when duration of day and night gets equal to 12 hours each. Thousands of years ago this occasion was celebrated by our ancestors. It is celebrated so that huge crop grows in the current year and food supply remains sufficient.

This festival has lot of significance especially among Christians. Moreover, Eastern also falls on the very first Sunday of after the full initial moon is seen especially after the vernal equinox. The sphinx was built by the Egyptians to make it sure that it points directly in the direction of rising sun on the festival of vernal equinox.

In Persian the beginning of the New Year is also marked with it. In Persian celebration of vernal equinox lasts for entertaining 13 days full of fun and lots of entertainment. This celebration comes to an end with the belief of Zoroastrianism that is 3000 years old.

LOL too me I think the sky is quite interesting!! Glad you had a good day!!! Hey did you get snow? We got rain, sleet, and snow. It was like a winter free for all more than a first day of spring!

Lol! Yep, we got the winter free for all as well. This morning I was wearing shorts, and now I'm wearing flannel pants, and a very thick robe! I wish the weather would make up it's mind. Lol!

 I hear ya!!! All this crazy weather sent my Gma into the ER this morning. She was hacking her head off. Her rib cage is bruised from all the coughing.  I told her to quit licking the cats cause she is not able to cough up the hairballs like she use to be...she smiled and said I know exactly how those kitties feel, lets get them some cat treats while we wait for my prescriptions. LOL  crazy day!

 Thank you. I am sure she will soon. Yes, she is a pistol LOL. She was up and folding laundry when I went to check on her this evening. SO I think she is doing a bit better. But she better stay home from church in the am she needs to rest and not get out in this spring?/winter weirdness!
