What are the signs and how did they check for it?

Excruciating pain in lower right quad, vomiting, can't stand. They will do blood work and or an ultrasound.

Feeling flu-like, really sharp pains alternating sides, and really sharp pains right behind your belly button.

They did blood work, of course. But they also told me to stand on one leg and jump....let's just say I wanted to punch that doctor in the head for making me stand up. I made it to my tip toes.

WTF MAN!? I don't get it! I am having excruciating back pain and I swore on everything it was my kidneys! Went for a CT scan ad it was clear!  The only "other" pain I have is under my right rib cage but I can press and it doesn't hurt and I owuld think IF it was my apendix why would it hurt my back on BOTH sides and not one?  How can I have any of those (NO offense) older people bone problems?  I am only 21 years old.  I have had no recent injuries

LMAo looking like an idiot I just did this.  It didn't hurt anything but my BACK on each side.  Someone said it could be going to each side from my spine?

Do you still have your gallbladder? If it's right under your ribs on the right side that's usually it. It makes you vomit, and your back and front hurts (well mine did). It felt like I couldn't breath and there wasa cramp.

I don't know about the back part. When mine did it, it was definitely my front/sides. But everyone is different, so if it's not easing up, it may be a good thing to see someone about it. Hearing back makes me think kidneys, but you said they were all clear, so I have no idea. Hope you get better! :)

Yup.  I was seventeen and started having really bad pains in my lower right side.  I told my mom I would be ok, but it kept getting worse to the point that I was doubled over holding my stomach.  She took me to the ER and by that time I was throwing up.  They gave me a shot that relaxed me and took the pain away and by that time I was so weak that I just collapsed against my mom and fell asleep.  They did a scan, found that my appendix was bursting, and rushed me into emergency surgery.  They didn't have time to do laproscopic so I had an open incision.

I was wondering if it was my gallbladder but I do not feel sick.  I feel like someone is cutting my back nerves with scissors and it's been like this for like a month Vicodin is NOT helping hang on about to add pics
