I asked Jesus

"How much do You love me?"

And Jesus said, "This much -"

And He stretched out His arms

- and died.

Me too!

Only it was the Easter bunny, and he left us chocolates.

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND

Footprints

One night a man had a dream.

Scenes from his life flashed across the sky
and he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
one belonging to him and the other to the Lord.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.

Footprints

When the last scene of his life had flashed before him,
he recalled that at the lowest and saddest times of his life
there was only one set of footprints.

Dismayed, he asked, "Lord, you said that once I decided
to follow You, You'd walk with me all the way.
I don't understand why, when I needed
You most, You would leave me."

Footprints

The Lord replied, "My precious child.
I love you and I would never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffering
when you saw only one set of footprints...

That was when I carried you."

This is where I bust in and remind every one that "Easter" is derived from "Ostara". A pagan holiday.

But hey, enjoy your chocolate!

Thank you MrsLavender ;-)  I don't celebrate "Easter" I celebrate "Resurrection Sunday."

Aww Aldea I hope your Easter Sunday is wonderful.

I remember as a kid my parents had 'footprints" hanging on our bathroom wall. Whenever I would brush my teeth I would read it by default. So year after year after year I memorized it.  I was in about third grade and we we're having a Thanksgiving party at our school. I was picked to say grace in front of the entire school. I was supposed to say "Our Father" but instead I read footprints. I didn't have it written down or anything. I remember my teacher had a little tear in he eye.
