we have a few dvds that are slightly scratched so they skip or freeze up when we try to play them.

does anyone know of a way to repair them so that they will play?   i've seen dvd scratch repair at blockbuster, but wasnt sure if it would work.

these are movies/cartoons for my son, so i would like to just "fix" them instead of buying another copy.

Do you have a BOY??   If so, come join us at RAISING BOYS!  It's a great group for mothers of boys of any age!  Hope to see you there!!   http://www.cafemom.com/group/336/

I've tried the "repair" kits without any luck.  if they are superficial scratches (not too deep) I have used turtle wax (regulary car wax) to fix the surface scratches and it worked well.
