What is the nicest thing anyone has said to you?

I got the opportunity to read for my son's kinder. Class today! They were all excited when they seen me come through the door. I was a bit nervous but that went away real quick. I read a little book called "froggy goes to school" They were laughing at this book.

Usually they let you read one book but the kids wanted me to read another! They loved how I read to them. So, good thing I brought a second. I had so much fun reading to them and involved them in the story. After that book, they all had sad faces to the teacher and wanted another. So, I read another. None of them wanted me to go . ):

But after I read the last book, they all came up and gave me a hug. The teacher was especially surprised how much they liked me to read  that she wants to have me back before the end of school, which is 4 days!

She told me what a wonderful reader I was and what a great parent I was also. That made my day. My son Has ADHD severely. And she is impressed with how well I do with him and how well i have been able to guide him though this school year. So he could pass.

So what are some words or actions someone has done for you that you will never forget?

I work really hard to keep our little apartment clean and organized, and when my MIL was in town last time, she did some cooking for us...

She never went through my kitchen before, but was able to find everything that she needed, without really searching.  And she said "How did I know I would find that there!!  Your kitchen just makes so much sence to me."

I love my MIL

My dad always is cooking breakfast for us. I love that he does, because I don't really do breakfast, I could be good with a bowl of cereal and toast. He gets into it, with eggs and pancakes and bacon. Yummy!

I have been working hard on losing weight and no one has noticed any changes so I started getting a little depressed. One day my 3 yr daughter said to me (out of the blue) "Your getting smaller"

I don't make a big deal about me losing weight because I don't want my kids to copy me and think they have to lose weight too like my nephew does while watching his mom.

It was nice that my daughter recognized the change, it made me feel good to know that I am noticeably losing weight. (I did talk to her about being healthy and happy and mommy is happy and learning to be healthy like her, she's a fruit & vegi nut)

 Outside of family?

I have had a guy tell my father I would make a perfect 3rd wife... (He was from somewhere in the Middle East and was on his way back after a horse show... he wanted to take me, I was 16)

Also had a muslim tell me that I was the only person in the entire state of Colorado that had been nice to his family and that he thanked me highly for it (I had to escort his wife, son and daughter around the store I worked at, because the idiots in that area kept harassing them...I was the only associate that had no trouble throwing down with a customer)... he offered me a gift and all ...
