Alternative Treatments for ADHD

So does anyone out there have children with ADHD and you use a alternative treatment method? Long story short, DS was diagnosed but i'm catching resistance from DH on putting him on medication. So...I thought I'd try another route. I've heard about the diet, i'm not even going to bother with that, I'm already pretty strict on what the kids eat so i'm not going to change it more. Does anyone use a homepathic? How well did it work? Side effect?

My friend swears by Omega 3.

Look up Calm Forte. I've heard that is helpful.

I've been self medicating with coffee since I was 9.

I've heard that about caffiene. I'm just not sure about the side effects of caffiene and withdrawls and such.

Looked it up. It's a sleep aid, not issues in that department.
