uh... what the heck am i suppossed to do with this?

 a shoulder roast that is! LOL!. sorry... anyways... I have a shouldre roast that is in the microwave thawing right now. is that the same as a roast? i wan to put like potatoes and carrots in with it. is that what i'm suppossed to do with it? going to cook it in the crockpot for dinner tongiht

You can, but I might cook it in the oven instead so that it would brown some.

start googling! :-)

I get really confused when talking about cuts of meat and I have no clue how to specifically prepare most of them! Just google shoulder roast and you'll get some good recipe ideas i'm sure.

I put it in a ziplock bag with a pack of onion soup mix and about a cup of water, marinate it for atleast 30 mintues then bake on 350 til it's done.

I always google when i'm not sure. But I'm of the philosophy that anything can go in a crock pot ;)

 that's what i do! lol. but DH usually gets our meat, and i wanted to surprise him with a big nice supper tongiht. lol. I think i'm going to put it in the crockpot with carrots, potatoes, some garlic salt, and pepper, red wine, or beer, whatever i have and just let it go! lol

I cook mine in the oven with carrots and potatoes!
