Did your kids dress up for World Book Day at school?
My 6 year old is stuck! She has several ideas.. but we need some easy homemade jobbies :)
Ideas? Thanks!
Pippi Longstocking is easy - mismatched clothes and socks, crazy braids and a pair of funny shoes.
Madeline - a little straw hat and blue cape.
She was thinking one of the fairies from Rainbow Magic Fairy series, Angelina Ballerina, Sister Bear from the Berinstein Bears, Little Red, or Cat in the Hat.
Pippi would be super easy, though.

My son had the storybook character day on halloween. He did a rendition of It's a Bugs Life - his hair was spiked green and I had little plastic bugs in it. Was a big hit. Angelina Ballerina would be cute- tutu, mouse ears and a tail. Thing 1 or thing 2 would be super easy and cute as well.
If she likes Cat in the Hat, Thing One and Thing Two is easy breezy. My daughter and her friend did it for Halloween two years ago. I made the costume out of red footed pajamas, made the Thing One emblem out of white felt and black marker, and got a blue wig online at one of the party supply stores.
