I love to crochet and knit

I always feel like an "old lady". I'm only 21 but I love to crochet, knit, and use the loom. I just got my sewing machine ( that i'm super excited about) and now I'm learning to quilt. I know its not what a typical 21 year old does, but I love it. I create my own patterns and am even thinking of starting my own website with it. Does anyone else have a love for kitting? I love getting new ideas of things to make, so if you have some, please share.

I never learned to knit. But I do sew, Love it! I got my first machine at 21, but hand sewed a lot before then :)
I am 25 now.
I know how to crochet, but don't because I am stubborn, lol. I bought some yarn and stuff after I got married and was going to practice some and get better since I hadn't done it since I was maybe 10? DH saw what I was doing, picked up my hook and started crocheting! And he was better than me! I was mad and never tried again, lol!

I learned when i was younger too. My mom taught me to crochet when i was about 7. But after a year I didn't do it again until I was 20, then when I picked it up again, I taught myself to knit and loom as well. And it's funny that your dh was better at it than you lol.

I'm learning to crochet.  Of course the first step is to finish this blanket I have been working on for my husband.  I kind of got distracted and haven't worked on it in a few months.  I can say that the stitching on it is very even, lol!  I don't think it makes me look old or anything.

I got my first sewing machine for Christmas but I havent used one since I was like 12 years old and I will be turning 34, so I have no actual clue to use it.  I would love to learn to crochet and knit but my Mom, who crochets, says she doesnt know how to teach me since I am a lefty and she is a righty.  I taught myself to be ambidextrous though but I dont have a lot of time for myself anymore though : /

My mom is a lefty and im a righty, when she taught me i learned left handed. so now i knit, crochet, and do everything else she taught me left handed, like sweeping, golfing, etc... but i found the easiest way to teach someone the oppisite handed is to sit across from the person and do what they do as if your looking in a mirror. I taught my sister this way because she is right handed.
