CafeMom is excited to announce a way we're featuring many of our terrific moms. Selected moms (now including some of our very CafeMom staff members!) will respond to our "Mom of the Day" interview questions, and their interviews will then be posted in the group that they spend the most time in.
Our current featured mom, Dodie702, frequents the November 2009 Babies group.

1. What has been your defining moment as a mom so far?
I would say my defining moment as a mom would be when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. I couldn't believe it! I have been battling pcos since I was 14 years old and the doctors have been telling me for years that I probably never conceive naturally. I took 3-4 pregnancy tests. I decided at that moment that I would be the best mom to this miracle baby that I can! Behold 9 months after I had her I was pregnant again. Turns out I am very fertile...lol!
2. What group do you most frequently hang out in on CafeMom?
I am always in one of my two Due Date groups. Shout out to my November 2009 babies group! These ladies are an awesome group of mamas! I also own May 2008 babies. We are a small group now that the kiddos are getting older, but we still are pretty active. They are also a wonderful group of ladies!!!
I am on CafeMom via mobile at least 5-6 times a day. I get on via the computer at least 1 time a day.
3. What do you like most about CafeMom?
I like that there is a variety of groups that help you make friends. I especially love the due date groups. The moms in these groups know exactly what you are going through. They are a great support system!
4. A mom's spare time is precious (if it exists at all!). How do you spend yours? (Aside from on CafeMom, of course.)
I usually catch up on my t.v. shows that I miss while the kids are at nap. I usually have no other time in the day to sit and relax.
5. What are your favorites:
Book: Anything V.C. Andrews
Movie: My favorite movie is Cinderella. My Mom says I used to make her put it on all day long when I was little.
Song: My favorite song is Broken by Creed.
Food: I love Chinese food! I could eat it every day if my waistline would let me. :)
Place to travel to: I love traveling to Florida and hanging out on the beach. I love the scenery and the beautiful warm water.
6. Which celebrity mom would you most like to hang out with, and why?
I would probably hang out with one of the Teen Moms from Teen Mom 1 or 2. They seem so down to earth and really care for their children.
7. If you could give a new mom one piece of advice, what would it be?
If you are frustrated, step out of the room and take a breather. Life as a new mom can be hard but rewarding.
8. If you had to choose, what single word best sums you up?
Friendly
9. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? And if you work, what's your job?
I always wanted to be a kindergarten teacher. Right now I am a sahm. I plan to go back to college when my little ones are in school.
10. If you could trade places with any one person for a day, who would it be?
I would trade places with Oprah. She is the richest woman in the world. I would love to live one day without worrying about money.
Now answer her question for YOU:
How do you convince a 3 year old that it is not okay to lie?
Hi Dodie--
I'm not yet having to convince a 3 y/o yet, but I'd start by saying to them that if they lie, I won't know when they are telling the truth. They wouldn't want me to lie to them. What if they didn't know when to believe me?
Great question! Congrats on the profile! -- From of your sistas in Nov 09 Babies.
Hello! and I am still trying to convince a 9year old why it is not ok to lie...good luck
I will tell my 3 year old that if he/she continues to lie, I may not help him or her when he/she really needs help. telling the truth means you love mom no matter what. what ever happened, whether it is good or bad, mom may get mad or happy. whatever it is, mom wants to help and for mom to help, you should tell what really happened.
