I think 5 or 6
When/if the child feels uncomfortable. My eight year still gives me kisses on the lips now and then.
I'm 23 and still give a peck to my dad, and my daughter gives a peck to her dad and she's 5 and he gives a peck to our son too. I don't see anything wrong with it...at all.
My son is 9-1/2 and he sometimes is fine with it..other times he won't. It depends on who is around to see..such as friends.
I don't kiss my kids on the lips at all. Cheeks or forehead only, my 3 year old knows. I absolutely haaaaaaate when my mother tries to kiss him on the lips, he calls her out "No Meemaw, only kiss on the cheek or the forehead!" But, to each their own, I guess.
An "I love you mom" peck on the lips is never inappropriate. I still give them to my mom. If the way you kiss your child can be considered inappropriate than it is a kiss that is wrong at ALL ages IMO.
I dunno...I'm not super comfy with it and my dd is four. It'll probably stop soon; I know I stopped doing that with my mom at about 7.
Never. I still give my momma kisses on the lips. And my son will get kisses on the lips until he refuses lol.
Different families are going to feel differently with their comfort levels. I still kiss my mom and dad on the lips and I'm 34! It's a quick peck... nothing inappropriate about it. If my kids are uncomfortable with it, I'll stop... but until then, I'm good with it. My son will be 10 next week and still kisses me on the lips.
Yeah probably 5 or 6. My husband's mom would still try to kiss him on the lips when we first got together I was like oh hell no thats gross your a grown man.
