I think 5 or 6
I don't know. I'd say once they're like 7 or so...or at least that's how I am...My son is the one who started giving kissies on the lips and it's cute cuz he puckers up :) and then he says "i love you mommy i love you..." it's adorable...not that it would be innapropiate but it's just like weird for me to still be doing it when my son is older...he's barely 2 now.
I don't think there is an age where it becomes wrong. I'm 26 and I still kiss my grandparents on the lips. (My parents aren't really around.)
I think it is a personal thing. If parent and child are both happy with it, it is nobody's business. If one side decides it's time to move to a cheek, then it is time to stop. To each their own.
Also, keep in mind some cultural differences could play a major factor in whether that "age" is ever reached or not!
im 22 almost 23 and i still kiss my mom and dad and grandparents i see nothing wrong with it
I am 40 and I haven't stopped with my parents.
I hope my kids never want to stop.
BUT if the ybecome uncomfortable they can stop.
I don't understand why this is an issue.
Never. I still kiss my parents on the lips and I am 32. I also kiss my 12 yr old nephew on the lips as well as both of my sisters. As others said it is a peck, a sign of affection, not sexual in any way.
Never. I still kiss both my parents and always will.. I want my kiddos to do the same with me..
