I did it because of many reasons.
1. Talking to my brother who had friends while he was in the military that had to have major surgery because they got HUGE infections from not being cut because they could not clean it properly.
2 I belive in the medical benifits.
I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life. ~Rita Rudner
Quoting Punkie74:My father had to have it done as an adult and said it was the worst pain he's ever experienced in his life. He also said he was happier once it was done. My husband who also happens to have a penis, looked at me like I was smoking crack when I asked him it he didn't want our son circumcised.
Quoting tarakay0417:I believe that its hygenic. If I ever have another little boy, he will be circumcised too.
Quoting Autumn22:
Genital mutilation. Just sayin.
Quoting lillysnow:
Didnt u hear about that Rabbi who gave a boy herpes, and the baby died because after the cut he sucked the blood off and said it was part of the ceremony. It was here on cafe mom im pretty sure. Im Jewish too and that horrified me
Quoting cjsmom1:
I'm Jewish and it's part of a ceremony when boys are a week old.
I also think it's more hygenic.
Quoting OutlawMUA:
Oh the ignorance. Sigh.
Quoting thanush:
If it's not broke don't fix it. Body parts are there for a reason. I wouldn't do it on my sons. But I think it's more of a traditional thing than a medical thing ( or European, middle eastern And African men must be prone to infections way more than Asians). I don't think of it as cruel or over the top as some make it sound like.
If your culture or religion or a medical reason calls for it or you want to do it go ahead. Stop these nonsense about the hygiene. Men arnt idiots who cannot clean themselves.
