I went to consign a bunch of things at a consignment shop, that I later learned was owned by a friend of a friend.
One day out of the blue, the store closed. The owner said to leave a facebook message if you wanted your things back.
Well, I did and the next day the fb page was gone, the website was down, the phone disconnected and the store gutted.
Well, I still want my shit back.
I want to file theft charges. Should I tell my friend to tell her friend to give it to me or I will, or just do it?
Quoting cara124:I would just file the report...... gather as much info as you can ....
Quoting Elyssa414:
Agreed. Your friend doesn't need to be put in that position, (as the go between)

Leave your friend out of it. She really has nothing to do with it, don't drag her into it.
well then you have to decide which is more inportant your stuff ( money ) or your friendship... I would think your friend would be understanding of you reporting what was basicly fraud .... I'm sure not the only person looking for them .... good luck

I just wouldn't want my friend to get mad bc I did it and say well I could've talked to her.
